Over one hundred delegates from all pints of the Dominion attended the opening of the seventeenth annual meeting of the New Zealand Society of Civil Engineers to-day. The retiring president, Mr. G. T. Murray, presided. The following officers were elected:— President, Mr. D. K. Blair (Wellington); vice-presidents, Messrs. F. T. M. Kissel (Wellington), and F. J. Williams (Duncdin); council, Messrs. G. T. Murray, F. E. de Guerrier, and D. Holdeiness (Auckland), Messrs. F. W. Mac Lean, F. J. Jones, H. Vickennan, A. J. Baker, and F. W Furkert (Wellington); Mr. X Hitchcock (Christchurch), Mr. ,T. M'G. Wilkie (Duncdin)", and Mr. F. M. Corkili (Invweargill); secretary, Mr. H. L. Cole (Wellington); honorary treasurer, Mr. J. Marchbanks (Wellington).
