BRISBANE, 23th January. In a swimming competition, 220 yards open handicap, Noel Ryan registered 2 mm 9 l-ssec, which is reported to be only one-fifth of a second outside AVeissmnller's world record. Tom Boast won the 100 yards national backstroko championship in lmin 6 4-ssec.
