KARORI CLUB
With rain coming down fairly hard at times, the Karori Club completed the second half of the C.A.C. and Bertram Cup series at Trentham on Saturday. All members can compete for the C.A.C. Cup, but handicaps ■ cannot be counted while the Bertram Cup is open only to men who have received handicaps in the competition, and scores include handicaps. The series consists of seven shots at each of the six ranges, and is spread over two weeks, the ranges on Saturday being 300 yards, 500 yards, and COO yards. H. Krankland, the runner-up of last year's competition, scored a popular win in annexing the C.A.C. Cup. He was standing rlith after the previous week's shoot, but by notching 99 on Saturday lie decided the issue beyond a doubt. O. M. Chins, who shot well in the first half and who was leading Frankland by one point at the conclusion of the 500 yds shoot, was unlucky enough to get a "maggie" for his last shot at 600, and thereby dropped to second place.
For the Bertram Cup. J. 1. King came' fust, with J. Grove in close attendance as runner-up.
