MAGISTRATE'S COURT
Police eases in the Magistrate's Court were dealt with by Mr." E. Page, S.M., on Saturday. Two first-offending inebriates who had spent the night in the cells were convicted "snd discharged, and another who did not appear was fined 10s, the amount of his bail. His third statutory offence of drunkenness cost Louis Gestro, aged 48, £1, in default three days' imprisonment. g « Cases at the Magistrate's Court were dealt with to-day by Mr. J. S. Barton, S.M. . " ■ ■ "This man has a large list of previous convictions for drunkenness, but only one during the last twelve months," said SubInspector Lopdell, when Isadore Jacobus, aged 64, was charged with a second offence of drunkenness. The accused was fined 10s, in default 24 hours' imprisons ment.
