DELUGE OF RAIN

AUCKLAND VISITATION,

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.); , AUCKLAND, This Day. A deluge of rain started just before noon and halted all pedestrian traffic in the streets-for half an hour. The gutters rapidly overflowed into the pavements, and many streets became a sheet of water, through which motors ploughed. The Dominion championship bowlers had nearly all finished their morning games, but one rink match was postponed with two heads to play. Steady rain is now falling.
