PLUNKET SHIELD

THE OTAGO TEAM DICKINSON NOT COMING (By Telegraph.) (Special to "The Evening Post.") DUNEDIN, This Day. ; It is a matter for great regret that George Dickinson is not travelling to Wellington with the Otago Plunket Shield team next week. The fast bowler was in great form last Saturday, taking five wickets against Carisbrook, the competition leaders in Dunedin, for 71 runs. Blunt was dropped off "Dickinson when he had scored only 18 and again at CG, while he was also caught in the slips off a no-ball. Dickinson was swinging the ball dangerously, and towards the finish was kicking up, none of the batsmen being at all comfortable facing him. Added to this, Dickinson is a much improved batsman with some good scores to his credit this season, including a century.
