A fine of £1 was inflicted on John D«i Souza at the Magistrate??- Conrt.. to-day; for being found on licensed premises .after; hours. ' Sub-Inspector Lopdell said that the'ao ifcused and two others visited the Duk« of Edinburgh. • Hotel at about 7.30 p.m. They went upstairs, and met the proprietor's son on the landing, and asked, for liquor. They Were ordered out o£ 1 the hotel. When on the street the accused was pointed oiit to a policeman,- and on being arrested he offered the constable >£2 if he would let him go and say noth* inft about the matter. - ■ Bn a further charge of offering .-a/brio* to a member of. the Police Force, De Souz* was fined £5.
