THREE CHARGES OF THEFT
A plea of guilty to each, of three charges of theft was entered by Arthur Claude Windsor, labourer, aged 23, in the Magistrate's Court to-day, before Mr. E. Page, S.M.Windsor was charged with the theft of a gramophone, a tin of benzine, and a dozen milk-testing bottles, of a total value of £8 19s 6d. Sub-Inspector Ward said that the • accused obtained in Auckland a gramophone valued at £6 15s on the hirepurchase system. He paid one small instalment and then sold the machine to a fcecond-hand dealer in Hamilton for £5. The tin of benzine was stolen from outside the gale of a farmhouse between To .: Kniti and New Plymouth, and the bottles were taken from outside the Okau Dairy Company's premises. The Magistrate sentenced Windsor to ' three mouths' imprisonment on each •Hiarge, the periods to be concurrent.
