SWIMMING
Mr P. Coira presided over a meeting of tho Wellington Centre A.S.A. last evenA letter was received from the Hutt Valley Club stating that it was prepared to arrange a carnival in aid of the educational fund. It was proposed to hold a children's carnival and the club would require the assistance of some adults to give exhibitions of diving, etc. It was decided to reply that the centre will help in every way. Messrs. J. Calnan and W. H. Gerrie were appointed handicapper and starter respectively, and Mr. P, Coira was elected sole selector. Messrs. P. Coira and Claridge were appointed a sub-committee to go into polo matters generally.
