TEAMS FOR HOLIDAY TOURS

Several cricket teams from Wellington °wtfl be on tour during the Christmas and New Year holiday period, the districts to be visited including most of the North Island and part of the South Island. Mr. L. J. Brabin is again, managing a team oi colts, which, this year, will travel North, The team, which, is composed of players under the age o£ 21, is to leave on Christmas Eve to play matches against the Auckland colts, the Auckland Mercantile League, and Waikato. The following players have been chosen for the team:— j, Stevens (Old Boys), captain, J. B. Stephenson (Old Boys), J. Reynolds (Old Boys), K. Cleave (Institute), A. Donald (Institute),- J. Duffy (Marist), J. Ell (Technical College), J. Asbenden (Kilbirnie), J. O'Loughlin (Wellington College), Watt (Wellington), and another to be appointed. . Mr. J. Hutchings is taking the following team to play several matches under -the Waimea Cricket Association in the Nelson district:—Osborne, O'Neill, Hutchings (3), Trendle, Xleyling, Morgan, Armstrong, Duncan (Midland), Cousins, O'Connor (Wellington), M'llwraith (Institute). A team comprising mainly University players will play in the Manawatu, Wangajrui, and Taranaki districts, and Mr. A. Doneghue is taking a team to play a match against Poverty Bay. It is possible that !Mr. Doneghue's. team will also meet the Hawkes Bay colts at Napier, but if that game, cannot be arranged, uo match will be played against Hawkes Bay during the holidays.
