Solvent did half a mile along the back in 49 4-ssec—a smart performance. Count Cavour and Gustavo separately did easy half-miles. The former moved quite freely, and may accompany Gustavo to Auckland. Great Star covered a mile in lmin •iGsec, Call Girl accompanying him over the last half. This horse is very well. Pull Feather and Ball Dress went a useful mile, taking lmin 35 l-ssec over the last seven without being bustled at the finish. A. M'Aulay leaves with Nightmareh and True Shaft to-night for Auckland. Both horses arc in great condition. Other trainers going to Auckland leave on Thursday. G. J. Pine leaves on Friday for Awapuni, while H. Cutts, W. Stone, and A. Griffon go North on Saturday.
