EDITOR WINS COMFORTABLY
Editor, who was one of the outsiders of ths field in the Biccarton Handicap, led throughout, and won comfortably. He is an aged gelding by Author Dillon, trained by D. Withers, who drove him. He started nine times last season for one win, but he ivas placed on three other occasions. He has a good deal of speed, and in this race he stayed on better than was expected. . ■■-..■ , , , ~ Erin's Lynn, who was the rank outsider of the field and paid nearly a score for second, has been gradually coming back to her best -form. A coux)le of seasons ago she looked like making a more than usetul two-miler, but she trained off for some time. She has been working well lately, and she may go on and win a race in the near future. She. is a good stayer when at her best. Tenedos let his. numerous supporters down very badly. He was a hot favourite, but he failed to .go' away. He was not fractious at the post, but at the order to go he just stood:still, taking.no part in the race. .- .
