SOUTH AFRICAN VETERANS.
The executive .committee of the Wellington branch of the South African War Veterans' Association mot recently. The president, Major P. E. de B. Brandon, presided, and there were also present Messrs. ■J. I. Goldsmith (secretary), J. .T. Clark (treasurer), K. J. F. Aldvich, C. F. Bishop, T. W. Brown, B. C. Cull, J. Francis, S. Harland, J. D. M'Connack, H. J. Murdoch, F. Plaster, E. M. Woolley, aud W. T. C. Wortley. Messrs. Murdoch and Aldricli, the association's delegates to the Dominion Conference, were thanked for their report on the-work done. The ■ treasurer reported that a donation of £5 5s had been received on behalf of the widow of a veteran recently passed away, also £2 2s for the general funds. Hearty congratulations were accorded Mr. J. J. Clark on his election as president of the Dominion Headquarters' Association for. the fourth successive year.. Messrs. T. M'Coll, J. Mulcahy, and R.. Henderson were elected members of the association. ■ ,
