The visitors were greatly pleased with the links in their improved condition, and drew favourable-' comparisons with their possibilities as compared with those of the other new clubs round Wellington. After the match all gathered in the club house, where H. J/Shanks, on behalf of the Morningtou Club, thanked the Shandon Club for arranging the match, hoping that it would annually give equal pleasure to the two clubs.
