SYDNEY, 26th August,

The sequel to the alleged preparations to set flro to a building in Bathurst street, reported yesterday, was tho arrest of Solomon Specterman, a tailor, 27 years of age, who was charged in tho Police Court with maliciously attempting to set fire to the premises of M'Alister Bros. The police detailed an elaborate plan, ostensibly to burn tho premises. Specterman. waa remanded to Bth September. Bail of £1000 was allowed.
