NEW PLYMOUTH TRACK NOTES

FEW. PLYMOUTH, This Day. The New' Plymouth track was busy yesterday morning when.all the trainers took advantage of the fine weather and good track to send their, charges along. All the fast work took place on the outside of the course proper with the flags closer in. Spanish King was the first out, but only did half pace ■ work. The two-year-old Gibraltar did easy work on the inner green patch!' Going easily, he was well clear of Rapai over two fnrlongs in 30sec. Nimblefoot was just in front of Waitaunaha, with Just John beaten ofF .'it the end of a mile and a quarter in 2miu 33 sec.
Lady Qiiex went three furlongs, the last two in 27sec. She did it nicely. Orapai and Te Atiawa were sent half a mile, but the latter stopped badly in the. straight,.and Orapai ran home lengths in front in 56sec.
Belle Star, who continues to improve, worked strongly on the inner track. Melissa was . too good for Miss Chatter over half a mile in C 3y 2 sec. They went very fast over the first bit, but Melissa finished on well. She is in great heart. Lady Lulu and Easter Time displayed a lot of dash over two furlongs, finishing together in 27% sec. Moerangi gave another pleasing exhibition over four fences.
Tagiroa went once round at a good threequarter pace. Annoyer and Crcnnatown were responsible for a smart gallop over five furlongs. They finished together in lmin 7scc. Ngawhaa and Silvereine both gave fine displays over two rounds of the fences. The former will probably^be ridden by Rennie on Saturday. V-
Haurangi Girl gave Lady June quite eight lengths' start over a mile and a
quarter, and then was going easily alongside her companion at the finish, the time being 2min 33sec.. Huirangi Girl is very well. „ Royal Finance got a break on Screed at the start, and led her companion all the way over half a mile in 53% see. Razor jumped six fences safely. Potency was too good for Side Shot over a mile, the Potoa gelding taking 2min 1 sec for the distance. . \
Lady de Reske_ was. given a-good .working gallop over a mile. Puawhato was well clear of Bay Di.chton at the end of a mile in 2miir 2sec. He looks well. ' . . . "
The two-year-olds Sparkling Morn and Cornerman were allotted easy tasks.
