A Large Team. Mr. T. H. Lowry will have a big team to carry his colours this season. At present it is not definitely decided how many are to go to-the Wanganui Jockey Club's Meeting, but at least four, and possibly five horses will carry Mr. Lowry's colours at the spring meeting.' of the Avondale Jockey Club. Has the Breeding. Included in R. . Alexander's team' at Greenmeadows is Scotland .Yard, a halfbrother by Grandcourt to Great Charter. Although a four-year-old, Scotland Yard has hot raced; but as-he has been nominated for weight-for-age'races this season, he has evidently convinced his trainer that he can gallop. ,'.' . ; Cniachan Changes Hands. The five-year-old gelding Criiachan, by King Mark—Straga, • changed hands on Saturday, when he was purchased from Mr. H. M. Campbell -by Mr. Campbell Johnstone.- On occasion's Cruachan has shown fair form in hack- company, and he was expected to race well in the Sylvia Park Handicap at "the Pakuranga Hunt Meeting, but the best he could do was to finish seventh. Cruachan is to join R. C, Syme's. stable at To .Rapa. ' .'"...
