SIR JOSEPH WARD'S ESTATE
A special message from Chnstohurch published in "The Post" on Saturday, stated that the estato of the late Sir Joseph Ward had been provisionally, sworn for probate purposes at a little over £300,000. The actual amount is £337,000.
Probato of the will has been granted by the Supremo Court to the sons, Cyril and Vincent, and Mrs. Wood, the executors and trustees under the will. The will, dated 30th August, 1925, directs burial at the Bluff, the disposal of correspondence (private, business, or official), and bequeaths caskets, certificates, grants of freedom of cities, diplomas, presentations, and addresses to his children as the trustees think fit. The will gives £1000 to the Home of Compassion Board, Wellington, and various sums to relatives. The residue of the estate is to be divided among his children, except that the eldest son's share is greater than. the share of each other member of the family.
