SYNOPSIS OF LAST 48 HOURS.

Anticyclonic conditions and fair weather were experienced generally on Saturday. During Sunday, however, although barolow cyclone developed and brought dull, misty conditions and rain to most districts. Some heavy falls have been reported in the North Island and the extreme north of the South Island, Farewell Spit having had as much as 205 points. Northerly winds freshened on Sunday, but since last night a change to southerly has taken place from Cook Strait southwards.
