FATAL COLLISION
MESSENGER BOY KILLED
An. accident attended with fatal results occurred at the intersection of Hanson, and Hall streets, Wellington South, shortly before 3 o'cioeic yesterday afternoon,. when George. Allan Turobull, a telegraph messenger boy, aged 17, was so badly injured that he died while being taken to the Hospital. The boy received the injuries through! the bicycle he was riding colliding! with, a mo tor-lorry. It appears that tho boy was travelling down Hall street when ho collided with the lorry, which belongs to T. A. Wells, Ltd., oil and colour merchants, Vivian street, and was driven by Albert Edward Collins. He received severe head injuries and abrasions f;o his arms and legs. The Free Ambulance was summoned, but he died before he reached the Hospital. He is the son of Mr. John James TnrnbuH, of Tarnham street, Mornington. About six years ago tho boy narrowly escaped death when he was knocked down by a motor-car in Newtown. On this occasion ho received severe internal injuries, and was confined to the Hospital for about two years. The accident yesterday is the second tragic one that has occurred in Mr. Turnbull's family. About eight years! ago another son, Philip Henry Turnbull,! aged 23, was engaged in excavating a building section when a bank began, to, move and ho was lulled by a fall of .earth.
