NIGHTMARCH
PROGRAMME NOT DEFINITELY j FIXED According to Trainer A. M'Aulay, no definite plan has yet been mapped out as to which of the big handicaps Nightmarch will contest. "It all depends on his progress in Sydney," said M'Aulay, "and I might add that he is to be nominated for the New Zealand Cup, which is run about Melbourne Cup time." If it is thought advisable to start Nightmarch in the New Zealand Cup, it will mean his missing the Spring Meetings in Melbourne, but as M'Aulay is well satisfied with, the horse's progress, such, a procedure is unlikely to be followed. Asked what he thought of Nightmarch's prospects against Phar Lap, M'Aulay said, "On their autumn form, I don't think he has.much chance at all, but probably there will be races in which, he won't have to meet Telfords champion."
