EASTBOURNE'S WATER SUPPLY
(To the Editor.)
Sir,—l have read with the warmest approval a letter in last night's "Evening Post" signed "Progress." I am sure that thinking persons who have property in Eastbourne must echo the appeal for immediate action on the lines suggested.
Unless something is done now the residents must face another summer—and possibly a long and hot one—in. the present unsatisfactory conditions. How can any settlement of people hope for continued prosperity and progress without water and drainage? A supply of gooil water means materinl well-being—a safeguard against (ire, the best preventive of epidemics, the brightest promise of popularity and prosperity. If it is possible to obtain water and drainage at a reasonable cost, may we not ask that something be done at once?—l am, etc. <
