ROTOEUA, 18th. August.

"While playing hide and seek on Saturday afternoon at Ohinemutu Pa, a boy namod E. Raugi, agod 5 years, fell intb a boiling pool at the back of the Maori eating house, Whakaturia. He was imnicrsod to the neck and died after being oxti'icatod and taken to his grandfather's house, a hundred yards distant. His mother lives at Murupara, and his father with his grandfathor, Kangi Tauira. The boy's brother met a similar fate eighteen months ago.
