HUTT COUNTY COUNCIL

A meetiug of the-Hutt County Council was held yesterday, Mr. D. R. Hogganl presiding. There were present Councillors W. Dyer, ■F. Bradey, A. Mackay, E. L. Button, and C. YVhitenian.

The District Engineer advised tbat the Miuister of Public Works was prepared to find £100, £ for £, to enable additional widening work to be put in hand. The erection of notice boards, warning motorists, at the intersections of Ferry road and Main road and Moana road and Main road, was left in the hands of the chairman.

It was decided to inform the police that the fire-reel shed at Paekakariki had been broken into.
