BUTTER PASSES CANADA
Messrs. W. Weddell and Co., London, advise Messrs. A. H. Turnbull and Co., that approximately 80,000 boxes of butter, K-hich 'the trade expected to be landed in Canada, have been carried on to the United Kingdom, and-will be discharged there this month. 'Weather conditions on the Continent are now, favourable to production. Messrs.' Weddell advise that they expect a low market, and in their opinion there is more likely to be a gradual decline' in quotations than an improvement. ■ ' ''■-■'■ , ■ With respect to cheese, Messrs. Weddell describe the demand as disappointing, due rin some measure to bad weather. Canadian is. freely offered and has hart the effect of slightly weakening the market. No great improvement m tue market is expected.
