The High Commissioner for New Zealand has received the following cablegram, dated 9th August, from the High Commissioner for New Zealand,. London:
Tallow —Market quiet on account of holiday. Prices remain firm.
I3ggs.—Market cjuiet. Per long hundred {120 eggs), English, national mark, 11s 6d to 10s Cd; English, ordinary pack. 14s 6d to 17s 6d; Irish, 11s to 18s; Swedish, Danish, Belgium, and Dutch, 12s 3d to Us ad; French, 11s 6d to 15s; Polish, 0s Gd in Sa fid.
Fruit.-—English apples now in the market. Present quotations for New Zealand are: Sturmcvs, Ss to 10s: old stock, 4s to 8s; Statesman, 8s to lls; Dougherty and Delicious, 9s to lls. Hemp.—Manilla market dull. '•']£" grade August-September shipment, sold £22, September-November shipment £22 as. Sisal: Market easier. First grade, fair average quality afloat sold £23 !ss. Sep-tember-November shipment quoted £24; second grade 15s less. Good marks held lor 10s more. Mexican unchanged. New Zealand 'market' very quiet. High-fair spot «old at second hand, £22.10s to £23. No inquiry for. forward shipments. No first iand sales reported.
Wool.—Bradford market quiet, with fairly good tone. Quotations nominally unchanged.
