The shoot-off for second place in the third scries competition was fired on AVeduesday evening when Hunter and Lynam both scored 69 and will shoot oft' again on Wednesday next. During the week the C grade team fired a very pleasant match with tho Brooklyn Club on tho latter's range; the home team, won by tho comfortable, margin of 8 points. It was unfortunate thut two members of the Aotea team who have been shootlug consistently well suffered a complete reversal of form, otherwise the result would have been much closer. The club's A grade team had tho pleasure of the company of the Karori team on Wednesday evening when a very enjoyable and exciting match resulted in a win for Karori by the narrow margin of 2 points.' In this match Lynam (Aotea) secured a possible and received the congratulations of all present. Chief Accountant's and Chief Mechanical Engineer's, managed to get the five competitors required as a team to contest the Hiley Cup. As the shooting progressed it was apparent that the • Chief Accountant's team would retain the lead, and this proved to be the case.
