MINISTERS ATTEND, Advice on trade matters British Official Wireless. (Received 11th July, 11 ajn.) EUGBY, 10th Juljr. The Prime Minister presided to-dajfj over a meeting at his official residency of the Economic Advisory Council^ which was set up in January to oo« ordinate the work of the Department* concerned with economic and industrial matters, and to advise the Government; on trade matters generally. In addition to the leading member* of the Government, including the Chan* cellor of the Exchequer and the Presi* dent of the Board of Trade, several distinguished economists and prominent industrialists are members of the couu* oil. The Imperial Sub-committee of th* Council was appointed some months ago under the chairmanship of the well* known steel magnate, Sir Arthur Bal« four, who is a member of the Council.
