ANNUAL MEETING OF CLUB
The eleventh annual' general meeting of the Tlrarua Tramping Club ?» held last evening, Mr. D. B. Hoggara presided. : In moving the adoption of the report arid balance-sheet, Mr. Hoggara said he was very pleased to see such a large attendance. The two main activities of the club-tramping, and the deveto£ meat of the tramping resources of the districtr-had been well maintained during the year. Field, M.P., said s that he was pleased to see that the club took a keen interest in the bird Me and bush life of New Zealand. Durmg^the last year the club had done excellent work, and he suggested that it should work and improve the tracks in tne Tararuas. -and thereby save the email bush and undergrowth from destruction. The speaker mentioned the first time he made the trip, over the Tararuas, and said h - was very proud to be one of the pioneers. . . . The election of officers resulted as follows:—President, Mr. D. E. Hoggard; vice-presidents, Messrs. W. H. lield, MJP.fF. W. Vosseler, H. E. Anderson, W. H. Wilson; chief guide, Mr. T. B. Smith; secretary and treasurer, Mr. A. N. Smith; committee, Messrs. J. A. Baine, H. Anderson, L. B. Cross, N. Elder, C. A. 3?rost, J. H. Gibbs, E. B. Gray, S. H. Hines, H. "W. Lottey, S. G.,M'lntosh, G. I. Thomas, and J. "Wells. Mr. H. K.
