The game between Mariet and Waterside, played on the Basin Reserve, was one of the hardest games seen;this season. Waterside played in the first spell with the wind, and led at half-time, 3-1; In the second half, Marist did not score.l as was anticipated, and had to acknowledge defeat by the'odd goal in five. Their forwards gave a pretty exhibition of Soccer, but failed badly: at the critical moments. Diamond easily accounted for W.Y.M.I. to the score of 7 goals to 0, and Hospital'and Petone won their, games with a comfortable mar^ gin.
