LONDON, 2Dth May.

The weather was fine and the wicket good for the second day of the match between Australia and Oxford University at Oxford. The Australians declared thoir innings closed, and then got Oxford out twice for the same total of 124 each innings, thus scoring an easy victory. This is the visitors' fourth win out of nine matches played. ■ Tho University started badly, Wall's first ball shattering Kingsley's wicket. Moore, who has a splendid school record, and the Indian Pataudi retrieved the, position somewhat, 50 appearing after fifty minutes. Grimmett secured his fortieth wicket of the tour when /ho got Moore with the score at 72. Five wickets then fell for the addition of onJy sixteen runs. I Walker achieved two fine stumpings. Peebles, alone of the others, offered any resistance, and Grimmett ended tho innings, which lasted 135 minutes. He bowled well throughout, and finished with the fine figures of five wickets for 48 runs. Oxford followed on at 2.50 p.m., wanting 282 runs to avoid an inrings defeat, but three valuable wickets were lost within an hour for 25 runs. Ford punished Hurwood and Grimmett, and with Melville brought tho total to 73. The latter was ""then dismissed by a brilliant catch in the slips. Wall had another success the next over, and the fifth wicket fell at 80. Bradman, displacing Grimmett, tempted GarlandWells to hit, and bowled him in tho same over. Then Hillwood fell to tho most brilliant catch of tho tour, Richardson taking the ball almost on the ground with one hand at deep mid-off. Peebles hit Bradman for six. M'Cabe ended the match by taking his first wicket of the tour, bowling Peebles. Australia won by an innings and 158 runs.Following are tho details:— .AUSTRALIA.
