UNBELIEVABLE FEROCITY
DELHI, 29th May,
Later accounts emphasise the unbelievable ferocity of the Rangoon mobs, all Indians combining against the Burmans, who retaliated by looting Indian shops and massacring Indian women and children.
Finally, the Cameron Highlanders and the police established a cordon round the disordered area.
The casualties arc estimated *t 52 dead and 1000 injured, of whom II B,vc not expected to survive.
