RUGBY FOOTBALL

TO-MOBBOW'S ATTBACTIONS,

With three 'senior teams level in first place the Wellington Bugby Union's senior club championship promises to provide plenty of interest before the season closes. The three leaders have not displayed form greatly above those next in order and the calculations are liable to be upset at any ' time. Old Boys, who share first place with Petone and Marist, will be meeting Poneke on Athletic Park to-morrow, and a keen game can be expected. Old Boys will be striving hard to keep their position, and Poncke, never an easy side ,to beat, will be out to show that they are still a force to be reckoned with. It is reported that Ponoke will be further strengthened to-morrow by the presence of J. Shearer and Julian. University, who have given the impression that they are 'liable at any time to break their run of losses, will be meeting Athletic on Newtown Park, and these teams should supply bright football. In the other games, Petone and Marist will both be up against strong opposition from Oriental and Eastbourno respectively, the games being played on tho suburban teams' grounds. Borhampore will travel out to Lower Hutt to engage the local team, for whom A. E. Cooke will probably be playing.
