ELECTION OF OFFICERS

All the'past year's officers of the New, Zealand. Club were re-elected at the annual meeting yesterday afternoon. The annual report showed' that oight guests had been entertained during the year, their names being ias follows :— Mr; T. B. Toovey, M.8.E., of the Port of London Authority; Mr. J. W. Mawson, Director of Town-planning; Dr. F. H. M'Meechan, Secretary-General of the International Anaesthesia Research Society; Sir Charles Fergusson; Commodore Geoffrey Blaise, Commanding New Zealand Division of the Boyal Navy; Mri L. A. Paish, H.M. Trade Commissioner for New Zealand; Sir Richard Winfrey, member of tho British farmers' delegation; Wing-Com-mander Graut-Dalton, Director of Air Services. The Governor-General, Lord Bledisloe, had consented to accept the position of patron, formerly occupied by Sir.. Charles P^rgusson. The'chairman (Mr. A. Fair, K.C.), ;in commenting upon the report, said that the club had been singularly fortunate in regard to its guests. All the addresses had Been of a high order, and the subjects dealt with were most interesting and instructive. The election of officers resulted: — President^ Mr. A. Fair, K.C.; past-presi-dents, Messrs. J. M. Dale and J. Hislop, C.V.0., O.B.B.; vice-presidents, Mr. E. P. Hay and Canon Sykes; committee, Messrs. E. S. Baldwin, S. W. Fearn, A. Leigh Hunt, E. W. A. Kellow, J. M'lntosh, F. S. Pope, W. M. Wright, and Dr. C. E. Adams (all reelected), and Mr. George Dawson; lion, auditor, Mr. C. S. Falconer; hon. s'cerohiry and treasure]-, Mr. E. P.
