Pressure of the westerly typo still continues to dominate the meteorological situation, another intense wave having moved eastward of the Dominion since yesterday. Strong winds between west and south-west have prevailed, reaching gale force at many places. Squally, changeable weather has continued to rule, with raiu at times in most districts, and snow showers on the highlands. During yesterday, however, it was temporarily fine In eastern districts, where the wind had a north-west tendency. Seas have lately been very disturbed •in New Zealand waters. • ]
