The British motor-ship Weirbank left Antofagasta (Chile) on 16th May for Auckland, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, and Fremantle with 7800 tons of nitrate, which is stated to be the biggest cargo of nitrate yet dispatched from the west coast of Soutli America to Australia. The Weirbank is expected to arrive at Auckland about 11th June. ZEALANDIC'S SMART RUN. The Zealandic, 'which left Port Chalmers on 25th April, arrived at London yesterday afternoon, thereby making a quick passage of 33 days, during which she averaged about 15 knots. RANGITIKI'S FAST TRIP. The motor liner Rangitlki, which sailed from Wellington on 26th April, arrived at Southampton yesterday, a day ahead of schedule, after a fast trip of 32 days. THE GREYMOUTH BAR. According to advico received this morning, there was a light easterly blowing at Greymouth, with showery weather. The rough sea on the bar continued, and there was a 4-knot fresh in the' river. • It was hoped that the fresh would partly remove the shoal and supply an increased depth of water on the bar. There appeared to be little prospect of working tho bar before noon on Saturday. In tho meantime the seven vessels aro still held up. THE GOLDEN CROSS. The Golden Cross, which discharged American cargo at New Zealand ports, has been loading at Gisborne, and wag expected at Auckland last evening to complete her loading. She is loading scrap iron, empty petrol and oil, drums, frozen meat, and other cargo.
