The council of the Ne>v Zealand Football Association met 'last' evening, Mr.. B, L. Salmon presiding. , ,

Wellington; 2nd August, winners of last-men-j tioned -V. Auckland finalists, at Auckland; 16th August, Canterbury V; Otago; fltlii September, final at Wellington. ;■ If;was] reported by tho committee that consider-j able difficulty had been experienced in fixr ing. suitable dates owing to the large number of counter-attractions arranged in the four centres. Tramways team.was due to play on 28th May (to-night), and, though agreeing to- play, had protested against night matches.
