COMMITTEE'S STATUS RAISED

It is announced that the committea appointed by the Government to investigate the operation of the Workers' Compensation Act has been raised to the status of a Koyal Commission. It is understood that the . alteration was necessary to cover the question of payment of the oxpenses of the members. Tho Commission has now reached decisions on all material points of inquiry, and is engaged on the elaboration of its recommendations.
