SUBSTANTIAL FINES IMPOSED

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) GBEYMOUTH, This Day. Daniel M'Carthy was fined £25 and £,5 respectively on two charges of using premises as a common gaming house.

James Hassell was fined £50 and /10 on a similar charge. Ho had two previous convictions. James Heffernau was fined £20 for assisting in the conduct of a common gaming house. A similar charge against Philip Stewart was dismissed.
