Tho following congratulatory message was telegraphed to Miss Johnson to-day by Sir Joseph Ward: —

"The Government and people of Now Zealand desire to express their hearty congratulation on tho successful accomplishment of your solo aerial flight from England to Australia, and also their admiration of your intrepid courage , and skill in this latest outstanding feat of aviation. —Joseph Ward." Prom inquiries which were rnado today, it was learned that no stops have yet been taken by the Government to invite Miss Johnson to visit New Zealand. _____
