V.M.C.A: BEATEN
Training College and V.M.C.A. provided a close and interesting game. The Collegians attacked for the greater part of the (irst spell, which ended with the score 3-0 in their favour. The scorers were Lambert (2) and Miskelly. Young Men played to better advantage in the second spell, and we're successful in opening their score, Pearco netting. There was no further score. . Mr, J. Huia scored their first win of the season, when they beat Karori by 2 goals to-l". 'ilie teams were Very evenly matched,*and there was no score at half-time. For a considerable time after the interval, neither side was able to penetrate the ■ilbcr's defence, although play was fast. Viites finally opened Hula's tally, but the advantage was short-lived, M'Donald capping a spirited Karori rush with a goal. Well on in the spell, Yatos scored again !o give Iluiii a narrow victory Mr. W. A. Scott was the rut'oree. PETONE 3, WESLEY 0.
Haying on the l'otono KccreaUon Ocniml, I'etono defeiitcil Wesley by 3 goals to nil. The scorers wore 'Warrincton, W. Lindop, and Barber. Mr. C. Harvey was the referee. HUTT A SUCCESSFUL. The first spell of the Hutt A-Uuivcrsity B game, played on the Hutt Recreation Ground, was very one-sided, and at halftime the home team led by 4 goals to nil. The second spell was much more even, and each side scored twice. Stoupe, Judd (2), Atkins (2), and Fleet scored for Hntt, and Cahill and Keodwell ' netted for University. The referee was Mr. W. Keys. A LAST-MINUTE WIN. The University A-Wellington game at Kilbirnie, was not started until 25 minutes past 3, owing to the early match finishing well after the usual time, and consequently it was almost dark when the final whistle was sounded. At half-time, Wei-
lingtoii were leading by 1 goal to nil. Play was fast and close. University equalised soon after the interval, but it was not until a minute or two before time that they wero able to gain the lead. Jacobsen scored tvnee for University, and Simpson netted for Wellington. The referee was Mr. C. Jtl'lvcnzic.
