Tlie v "cSntentious matter of the colours to be worn by the New Zealand representatives against the touring British Rugby team in the Test matches was settled last night, when, at a special meeting of the Management' Committee of the New Zealand Rugby.- Union, it was decided that the original decision to dress the ;home tcamiin white jerseys be adhered to. JChe colours to be worn arc as follows:—White jersey,"black" shorts, and black stockings with white tops. The meeting was held in committee, but it was reported afterwards that it had 'been resolved to send a letter to Mr. James Baxter, manager of the _ British team, expressing appreciation of his sportsmanlike action in offering to change his team's colours for the Tests, but intorming him that the union's previous decision will remain unchanged.
