FURTHER CONDEMNATION

AUCKLAND, This Day. Strong exception is taken in Auckland to the Post and Telegraph Department's circular instructing tho automatic dismissal of casual workers if absent from work for any cause. Mr. M. J. Savage, M.P., declared that whoever was responsible for the circular was not fit for his position. The Eev. Jasper Calder, social worker, said that the-circular was iniquitous, ai^d public opinion would never permit itMr. J. C. Alluni, chairman of the Transport Board, said that the Department's action was far from humane, especially when other work was so scarce.
