BUSES AND'EXHAUSTS
(To the Editor.)
Sir,—la reply to. the letter signed Civicus, which Appeared •in last- night's "Evening Post" dealing -with the above, I, being one- of the drivers, would like "Civicus" to know that the "blurting" he refers to is not caused through indifference on our part or inability, but by a cause eu'tfrcly different. The correspondents "expert" friend says , that proper attention to the carburettor and ignition while "coasting" will;, eliminate these noises. That is not so, and therefore one is/ apt to form the opinion that he is .not the ■ exper1; he Wishes "Civicus" to believe. He also apparently does not know that there is a bylaw prohibiting buses "coasting," and if either "Civicus" or his motor ''expert" -friend wish to ascertain, instead of merely guessing, ■'the real cause ot' these noises over which the drivers have h'ttle or no,, control, we would endeavour to ■ enlighten them.—l am, etc
