"CHAIN LETTER" PERIL

WIDOW'S SUICIDE IN LOND.ON

LONDON, 17th May.

"Chain letters," which have reappeared in England to a marked extent, are held responsible for the suicide of a 49-year-old London widow four days after receipt of one. .

This was the day on which she was to 'expect misfortune if she "broke the chain."

The Coroner condemned tho "ridiculous and purposeless idiocy of such letters."
