WELLINGTON'S FINE FORM.
One of the features of Wellington's performance against Upper Hutt at Maidstone Park was the. brilliant form shown by D. J. Oliver, the es-Otago player who has represented New Zealand. Playing as wing-three-quarter, he scored throe sensational tries. Another Wellington back to show up conspicuously was Page, who played his best game with the team to date. Joli'nson was also in good form, and the good work of the inside backs was topped off splendidly by Prydc when, the chances came his way. Kilby did not play, his place being taken by Hislop. Wellington were much too good for the opposition, although Upper Hutt played gamely. Theplay was frequently bright, being much better than is generally the; case under conditions such as those prevailing on Saturday. Tries for Wellington were scored by Pryde (3),. Oliver (3),■ Instill, and Gaundin. Still converted three and Johnson oue. The final score was: Wellington 35, Upper Hutt 0.
