OLD MAN KILLED
CAR DRIVER ARRESTED

AUCKLAND, 18th May.
Mr. William John HumUyy aged US, of Ponsonby, was killed through being knocked down by a motor-car in Pousonby on Saturday night. Mr. Hum by had alighted from a tramcar, and,was crossing the road when he was struck by the motor-car and killed instantaneously. ~ ■ • ' :
Later detectives arrested the driver of the v car on a charge of negligent driving so as to cause death.
