BIG HARRIER EVENT
RECORD FIELD EXPECTED

"The Evening Post.") ; DUNEDIN, This Day. , Harrierisin is now one of Otago's major sports, and with' nearly a thousand runners taking part in Saturday, .runs, the sport is assuming big proportions. The Edmond Cnp Steeplechase, one of the oldest harrier events in ..the Dominion, will be decided three weeks hence, and the indications are tksP. a- recofri field will go over the .three i&'le course. Last year 181 runners, comprising sixteen teams and one individual, competed, bufr ■ this year it is predicted..that' that, record will be exceeded, as there, are prospects of eighteen teams of ten each taking part, including one from the Wellington' Olympic Harriers. =■■•■-• •:".
