STRANGE SUICIDE
(Beeeived 14th May, Jl a.m.) LONDON, 13th May. A weirdly puzzling discovery was explained at an inquest at Blackpool. William Parkes - and James Beeeonsall were- found at the latter's flat sitting on a couch facing one another and wearing overcoats. Both w.cre dead. There wore, no .signs of injury, poison,or weapon. The affair was a baffling mystery until it was discovered to be a case of suicide. The men turned on tho gas and died. Beccohsall's two small sons, seeing the men as they thought asleep, went out, leaving the door open. Thus the air drove the gas from tho house. Tho boys were discovered in tho morning crying, because, they could not waken their father. Both men had been drinking, and had been, heard to say they were going to do themselves in.
