GIFTS OF CLOTHING
(To the Editor.), Sir,—T would like to thank all thosa kind people, anonymous and otherwise, who so helpfully responded with gifts of good clean clothing, boots, etc., after reading the article in the "Evening Post" entitled "A Helping Hand—a Day at the Red Cross." The things began to come in the next day, but as it had been cold, we had an extra crowd, so that the greater part of it was disposed of that day. We, together with our "hard-ups," are deeply grateful to the donors, and to those who have since offered their services in various .ways. —I am, etc., v F. E. JOYCE, Secretary, Ladies' Auxiliary, Red Crosi Society, Dixon street; Wellington.
